Spring Demarees: We're in the honey flow!
Environmental Notes
- Tulip poplar is in bloom.
- That marks the start of our honey flow, with everything else cascading afterward.
Notes from Last Time
R1H1
- Received a top box from R2H1.
- Queen-right.
R1H2
- Given a top box of empty frames.
- Queen-right.
R2H1
- Confirmed queenless with worker eggs and drone brood.
- Combined with R1H1.
R2H2
- Split from R1H2.
- Cut out excessive queen cells and left one frame with four good cells.
R3H1
- Worked through the emergency Demaree setup and confirmed there was no queen.
- It does not appear to have swarmed, so this was likely from my emergency Demaree move.
- Cut excess queen cells and left two frames with five good cells total.
- Combined the two brood boxes and removed supers.
R3H1 (Split from R1H2)
- Cut out excessive queen cells and left two good candidates on one frame.
